“What we feel is not going to leave a legacy, what we do or don’t do will.”
– Cus DiAmato
I have given a lot of thought about my message this month to go along with the video that is embedded here as well. It is with great “Gratitude” that I share with you my heartfelt feelings as I prepare the next journey of my life. Many of you that receive this Market Update that we have been doing now for over 10 years have had to endure my many messages over the years 😊! I hope in some way they have brought a smile to your face or perhaps even made an impact on you along the way. I can tell you that in doing these, I have grown a great deal myself.
As I mentioned, I have thought about this message for a long time and the one thing that continues to stand out for me is how to Live and Leave a Legacy.
I hope you don’t mind me sharing with you the following:
- Live your legacy: Live with character, conviction, and passion.
- Live like you mean it: Engage this life with passion and gratitude.
- Love like your life depended on it (it does): Even when we have nothing else to give, we still have love.
- Keep a journal: Keep a record of what is important in your life.
- Share the family stories with your children: Be an open book.
- Be honest: Share your failings as well as your triumphs. Nothing communicates like authenticity.
- Ground your purpose in greater purpose: Live a story that last a lifetime.
- Give your family the gift of time: Remember to be present by committing enough of yourself that you loved enough to be there, in the moment.
- Live for others: Be of service to those we love, to our family, friends, and community.
- Talk about your vision: Share with you children, grandchildren, family and friends how you have lived by your example.
Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts with each of you over the many years and the friendships that have been developed along the way. It has been my true honor to walk along aside so many of you and to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love and trust.
