Connect Today, Be Open to the Possibilities

“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.”

– John Andrew Holmes Jr.

This month I wanted to capture some energy around a quote a dear friend, Simon T. Bailey, shared with me.

Simon goes on to say: “I want you to know that there is a void in the world that needs your touch, insight, your wisdom, and your magic. We all have what I call, a universal assignment. If you have found something that stirs you up or irks the fire out of you, it could be a sign that YOU are the solution to the problem”. It could mean that you have an opportunity to help someone with a challenge they may be having. We just never know where life may take any of us.

As I think about this on a personal level, I am reminded of my own vulnerability and how far I am willing to go to share. Simon talks about “Allowing Yourself to Be Truly Seen”!  We need to be OK with who we are as leaders by opening ourselves up and letting people see the YOU with no mask or hidden agenda. He goes on to say when “Asking for Help” you are essentially expressing vulnerability in a positive way.

For me the two go together…by looking at life with a connecting heart and being who you are as a person in a positive and caring way can change the direction of those you touch. In so doing it allows you to open up as well to be who you really are.

Thanks for allowing me to share! I hope some of the things I have talked about this year have resonated with you. Trust me when I say that when I read or study what I have read I usually walk away with a valuable tool or lesson that reminds me what impact each of us has on others.
