I have been thinking a great deal this month about what my message should be. With all we have going around us I wanted to stop a minute and reflect on a quote that a friend and colleague, Renee Eads of Greenwood King Properties shared with me.
Impact
“You never really know the true impact you have on those around you. You never know how much someone needed the smile you gave them. You never know how much your kindness turned someone’s entire live around. You never know how much someone needed that long hug or deep talk. So don’t wait to be kind. Don’t wait for someone else to be kind first. Don’t wait for better circumstances or for someone to change. Just be kind because you never know how much someone needs it.” (Author unknown)
Many years ago, I had the pleasure to attend a class with Lou Tice, the founder of the Seattle-based Pacific Institute. His mentorship has helped many generations by creating a high-performance mindset. One of the things he emphasized that has stuck with me over the years is doing “Affirmations” in my daily journal. I am currently on my sixth journal.
Sometimes just speaking to them helps me start my day. The above quote resonated with me so much, especially today with all that is going on in our world. I would like to share with you what I wrote in my journal on March 2, 2022.
Impact can be positive or negative depending on the actions we take along the way. It is up to us to view our circumstances to make sure we are focusing on the right stuff that leads to a positive outcome. It does not have to be perfect and some days it is not easy to stay the course of positivity. Today I am going to create an outcome that brings focus to what I can do to make an impact on those I touch. Be Kind Today!!!!
“During our Dash on this earth, we all have countless opportunities to perform unexpected acts of kindness. Emerson said it best; “To share often and much . . . to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived; this is to have succeeded.”
As always thank you for allowing me to share my message with you.
