Years ago, City officials had the foresight to plan parks alongside Lake Washington so the public could enjoy the expansive waterfront. Now parks make up 25 percent of the City’s total square miles along the lake. More recently, the City purchased the section of the Eastside Rail Corridor that traverses Kirkland. The 5.75 mile Cross Kirkland Corridor has a crushed gravel trail perfect for exploring the City by bike or foot. Here are some of our favorite city oases.
