The Bite of Seattle
The Bite of Seattle is a family friendly event put on every year, enjoy food, fun, and entertainment all weekend long. Friday, July 19, Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21, from 11am to 9pm. It is located at the Seattle Center in downtown Seattle, WA.
History
Alan Silverman, created and produced the first Bite of Seattle at Green Lake Park in July, 1982. It was expected that 25,000 people would attend the two-day festival, however a lot more people attended the first Bite. The Bite now attracts over 375,000 people over the three days and hosts over 60 restaurants, plus entertainment, live cooking demonstrations, and many other attractions. In 2019, Alan Silverman, was inducted into the Washington Festival and Events Association Hall of Fame. Proceeds from The Bite of Seattle, benefit Food Lifeline, which helps to end hunger in Western Washington.
