What would you do in Bend if you only had a few days? Well we’ve come up with a few ideas. Who knows you might not want to leave after you’ve experienced Bend Oregon.
Glamping
Have you ever thought of the idea of camping in style? Then glamping is the way to go. In Bend Oregon You can find a couple companies that could help you with your glamping experience, Elk Lake Resort and Bend Westy. When glamping you still get the chance to enjoy the outdoors but in the comfort of a bed. It is great for everyone from adventure seekers, families, and weekend warriors look to have it all.
The company Bend Westy lets visitors rent a small camper, which they can drive within 200 miles of Bend and use as a base camp. “The vans are heated, come with studded tires as needed, and come with either a built-in kitchen or camping kitchen set. With two beds (one under a pop-up tent), it’s a perfect mobile getaway for up to four people and two dogs, with a smaller footprint than an RV for a slower, more immersive experience.”(traveloregon)
Although Elk Lake Resort has cabins, they also have stationary glamping site. Each tent comes with everything you need, and sleeps four. They even proved complementary shampoo, conditioner, and soap for showers in the Lodge.
Luxury Getaways
Sunriver Resort is south of Bend. It is located on the Deschutes River in the most scenic area. The river is slow moving in this area so there is lots to do; you can take a river tour, rent rafts, kayaks, inner tubes, and even a stand up paddleboard.
If you are looking for more land activities than water, Tetherow Resort is your destination. It is located on the west side of Bend Oregon. You can mountain bike on trails accessible from the resort, walk the tails through the forest, or hike through challenging terrain to Mt. Bachelor.
Pronghorn is situated east of Bend, it overlooks both wide-open sagebrush plains and the expanse of the Cascade Range. Take in views of all nine surrounding mountain peaks from their Clubhouse or spend the afternoon touring Central Oregon’s better-known craft breweries. You could even play a round of golf in the morning on their several breathtaking holes on the famed Jack Nicklaus and Tom Fazio golf courses.
