We all know the importance of recognition. The impact on those we acknowledge is huge and has a lasting effect.
- Timely: Do not wait!
- Specific: What they did!
- Sincere: Let them know what it means to you personally and the impact it has on those around them!
- Individual: Group recognition is important, but individual praise for a job well done goes a long way!
- Personal: Adjust to the style of the individual!
- Proportional: Do not go overboard!
Leadership is hard at times and as leaders, we can be challenged, at times to set a good example every day. I know that I am! It is because of those that we work with every day that keep us lifted and motivated, too! Their example is worth the recognition and I am thankful for who they are and the value they bring.
