Welcome to Our Community

North Bend sits in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains about 30 miles east of Seattle. This small community, best known for being the film location for the TV series Twin Peaks, is as beautiful as it is friendly.

With Mt. Si looming over the town at more than 4,000 feet North Bend feels like a mountain town. It is in fact part of the Mountains to Sound Greenway, a collection of more than 1.5 million acres of wilderness and trails with watershed boundaries from Yakima to Puget Sound and the Snoqualmie River to the Cedar. It sits between Seattle and Ellensburg and provides a connection to the landscape of the Pacific Northwest for residents throughout Washington state.

But there are plenty of reasons to stay indoors in North Bend too. The McGrath hotel is on the National Register of Historic places and is currently home to Brickyard Brewing. The North Bend theater, an art deco beauty, has been running feature length films since it’s opening in 1941. Valley Center Stage allows residents to see and participate in comedy and dramatic productions. And the Snoqualmie Valley Museum has been showcasing the history of this area for more than 50 years.

North Bend is also home to the distribution center for Nintendo for most of the western part of the United States and that processes more than 20,000 units per day. Due to its location just off Interstate 90 and its reputation as Twin Peaks hometown, tourism employs many folks here. The nearby Factory Outlet Stores are an economic driver for town as well.
