Vast open forests surround the city and as you head east, you’ll find waterfalls, mountain lakes and streams. As the challenge-sports center of Snohomish County, athletes and spectators flock to Monroe. Known largely for the Evergreen State Fair, the Evergreen State fairgrounds host events and competitions all year long, from horse shows to swap meets and has the only NASCAR track in Washington state.

Looking for a little indoor fun?  Monroe has plenty of that, too. Explore the revitalizing old town district, search for antiques, art, or find a great place to eat. The city of Monroe has a history of social awareness and caring for others, and the community today offers many services and opportunities to get involved.
