Welcome to Our Community

Go Ducks! Home to the University of Oregon, Eugene is more than a college town. The official slogan is “A great city for arts and the outdoors” and there’s no better way to describe it.

The city of Eugene is committed to ensuring that their public art collection be highly visible, accessible, and of top quality. The Hult Center for Performing Arts offers over 700 events and performances throughout the year. And if you’re looking for live music, you can find any genre here from electronic dance music, rock, hip hop, folk, bluegrass, or heavy metal. Eugene is developing itself as a culinary hub in Oregon with over 25 craft breweries, award-winning wineries, and an annual Truffle festival.

Many elements of Salem’s culture are rooted and inspired from counter culture and hippie ideals inspired by Ken Kesey, a native of Salem and author of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. This is a great place to be involved in the local community. Salem has many housing and food co-ops, neighborhood gardens, green activists, and many small, natural food stores sprinkled throughout the city.

Nestled between the Makenzie and Willamette Rivers, you can find great spots to fish and go rafting. Plus with an arboretum and rose garden within the city limits, you’re never far from natural beauty. But if you’re looking for adventure a bit further afield, you’re an hour from nearest ski resort, and there’s mountain bike trails, hot springs, and waterfalls to see within the Willamette National Forest or a bit further along you’ll find Three Sisters Wilderness, and the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area
