Bonney Lake, WA

Welcome to Our Community

Lake Tapps is a community surrounding its namesake reservoir at the base of the foothills of Mt Rainier.

Nearly 45 miles of shoreline allow for access to the lake. With a complicated shoreline, there are islands, inlets, and peninsulas providing a wide range of options and interesting viewpoints. Less densely populated and more affordable than many waterfront areas in Puget Sound, Lake Tapps is a great community to live in.

Many neighborhoods on the Lake Tapps waterfront have private beach rights but there are public access parks as well for everyone to get out on the water. All sorts of lake activities are popular here, including swimming, boating, and fishing, but you can also find plenty to do on land as well (golfing, biking, hiking).

The city of Bonney Lake covers the southern tip of Lake Tapps and is named for a small lake in the center of its city boundaries. A robust business district and growing population make Bonney Lake and the Lake Tapps area a popular spot.

Close to the Sounder train stations in both Auburn and Sumner, you’re a quick commute to Seattle or Tacoma via train or highway.
