Fall Reflections & Forward Momentum

As we welcome October in the Pacific Northwest, the unmistakable signs of fall are all around us—crimson leaves drifting from the trees, cooler mornings, and the comforting return of seasonal favorites (yes, I’m looking at you, pumpkin spice everything!). It’s a season that invites reflection, renewal, and a touch of nostalgia. For me, fall has always been a time to pause and recalibrate, both personally and professionally. 

In our industry, this time also marks the beginning of fall conference season—a time to reconnect and reimagine. Whether it’s attending sessions that spark new ideas, engaging in meaningful conversations with peers, or simply sharing space with others who are passionate about relocation and real estate, these gatherings are a highlight of the year. They remind us that while our work is often fast-paced and complex, it’s also deeply human. I’m looking forward to the upcoming events and the opportunity to represent John L. Scott alongside so many talented professionals.

As we enter the final quarter of the year, it’s natural to take stock of where we’ve been and where we’re headed. This year has brought its share of challenges and triumphs, and I’m proud of the resilience and creativity our teams have shown.  The fourth quarter is also  a powerful time when we lean into gratitude—for our clients, our partners, and our colleagues who make this work so rewarding. I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside such dedicated professionals and to contribute to an industry that’s constantly evolving to meet the needs of families and businesses on the move.

At John L. Scott, we’re embracing this season with intention. We’re refining our strategies and preparing for a strong finish to 2025. Whether it’s enhancing our processes, supporting our agents, or building new partnerships, our focus remains on delivering exceptional service and creating value for those we serve.

So as the days grow shorter, I encourage you to take a moment to breathe in the beauty of the season. Celebrate your wins, reflect on your journey, and set your sights on what’s next. Fall may be fleeting, but the momentum we build now will carry us into the new year with clarity and purpose.
