A Message to Our Valued Partners
As 2023 draws to a close and 2024 approaches we find ourselves reflecting on our shared journey throughout the past year, as well as preparing for substantive changes in the new year. 2023 has been a year of both challenges and opportunities, and we want to express our gratitude for your continued partnership. 2024 will further emphasize the importance of our partnership as we navigate the impending real estate industry changes*.
We understand that changes can be a source of concern, but please know that we are here as a trusted partner to help navigate these changes effectively. Our primary goal remains to deliver the best possible service to our clients while ensuring compliance. As the situation evolves, John L. *As a reminder – effective January 1, 2024, the statute in Washington state that governs real estate brokerage relationships (RCW 18.86) – otherwise known as the “Agency Law” – will be significantly revised. The revisions modernize the law, acknowledge the importance of buyer representation, provide additional transparency and consumer protections.
Idaho already requires a buyer representation agreement (54-2050).
