Between the waves and the sun.

“It is in our nature to explore, to reach out into the unknown. The only true failure would be not to explore at all.” — Ernest Shackleton

Provided by Mike Radparvar (Co-Founder, Holstee & Reflection App)

“Balance your time in these safe zones.”

Comfort Zone: “The Comfort Zone is stress-free and comes with a relatively low risk-to-reward ratio. While you may not be challenged or grow in this zone, it offers you space to feel grounded and make sense of things.”

The Growth Zone: “Is just outside your comfort zone. It brings some challenges and stress. These require heightened attention, but they are nothing your best self cannot handle.”

The Danger Zone: “(Avoid This) Is beyond your growth zone. Here learning is minimal because the gap between your ability and the challenge is just too wide. At best, this zone is discouraging. At worst, it is a true threat to your safety.”

The words resonated with me because I truly believe that we have and still are experiencing each one of these zones through our emotions and outlook today. As an industry I believe we fall in the “Growth Zone” which has helped us expand our comfort zone. We have met the challenges and acquired new skills by pivoting and learning new ways to be a positive force for change. We have recognized that to impact change we must be a part of it. In many cases we know that growth occurs when we are taken outside our “Comfort Zone!”

As always thank you for allowing me to share!
