Seattle’s tech salaries are second highest in the U.S. — and they’re on the rise

Seattle is home to the nation’s second highest tech salaries, according to a new study.

The average tech salary in Seattle as of 2019 was $109,628, a 4.3 percent increase from the previous year, according to a survey of U.S.-based tech workers released Wednesday by the tech career site Dice.

Unsurprisingly, Seattle is second only to Silicon Valley, where the average 2019 tech salary was $123,826 and has risen 4.7 percent since 2018. Seattle’s neighbor to the south, Portland, ranked sixth on the list, with an average salary of $102,703.
