Portland’s Five Hottest Neighborhoods

The Portland area’s hot housing market may be finally be cooling off. With the number of active listings piling up, buyers have more of an advantage than they have become accustomed to. However this trend is not the case for every neighborhood. Data from the Regional Multiple Listing Service show buyers are still grabbing newly listed homes in specific areas. Here are hottest five neighborhoods in Portland.

1.) North Aloha

Centrally located between Beaverton and Tigard, Aloha is an ideal place to call home. With a close proximity to shopping and year round recreation, amenities are abundant for all interests. Homes here are a median sale price of $350,000.

2.) North Hillsboro

Known as the high-tech corridor for the state of Oregon, Hillsboro is a great place for those looking to immerse in the industry. It is here companies like Intel, Kaiser Permanente, and many others call home. But it’s not all work and no play. Residents enjoy many amenities including the metro’s only professional baseball team. Median home sale price – $397,500.

3.) South Beaverton

Just seven miles west of Portland is Beaverton. Here you will find big city energy combined with a peaceful country setting. There is no shortage of activities for the adventurous type. Exceptional schools, a low crime rate, and an active community make this city is a great place to live and work. Median home sale price – $429,950.

4.) Elmonica / Amberglen

This community is nestled right in between Hillsboro and Beaverton. Residents enjoy parades, festivals, and fairs – none of which seem to be in short supply. Hillsboro is host to the Washington County Fair and the Oregon Renaissance Festival. Homes here are a median sale price of $381,500.

5.) Rockwood / Centennial

Oregon’s most diverse zip code is known for it’s symphony of languages and palette of diverse faces. With 88 languages spoken, many of these residents come from around the world! Median home sale price – $292,500.
